Mercedes-Benz E320 BLUETEC is now available in California and this diesel-powered luxury car from the German automaker could be the answer for those strict emission norms set by numerous agencies in this sunny state as well as the 50 others in the United States.
After a year in the industry, the Mercedes-Benz E320 BLUETEC vehicles are now scattered all over the US. More motorists are becoming aware of the noxious gases, which includes Sulfur oxide, produced by engine combustion. Among the Mercedes-Benz Parts, the precision-engineered engine of the E320 is the highlight of the pro-environment car. Such engine allows a cleaner fuel burn to produce as much as 224-horsepower but with lesser harmful gases.

Nitrogen oxide is among the numerous harmful gases that come out of the exhaust tip. This kind of gas is very prevalent especially in gasoline-powered engines but are also present in diesel-powered ones. What the Mercedes-Benz E320 BLUETEC engine does is it does not allow air contaminants to get out. Similar to a catalytic converter, the engine is equipped with filters that traps in air contaminants like the Nitrogen oxide. The engine of this luxury car also gets additional aid from the two cat cons installed. These are just some of the reasons why Americans are lured into gearing up with a E320 BLUETEC car.
“Thanks to the highly favorable emission characteristics of this car, only minor technical adjustments were required to obtain type approval for the clean compression-ignition engine in California,” said Dr. Leopold Mikulic, who is the company’s vice president for Passenger Car Engine and Powertrain Development.
Just in time for the holidays, Mercedes-Benz will be coming out with the E300 BLUETEC. Moreover, the company is slated to release more models carrying the same environment-friendly auto parts in its system.

Mercedes-Benz has taken the meaning of luxury up a notch as the German automaker promises to come out with the electronic log book system for its sleek cars in the CLS and E lines.
The e-log book christened as the Digital Service Booklet (DSB) will be made available extensively in all the models in the CLS and E lines. What exactly are the benefits of this high-end DSB for the Mercedes-Benz owners? Similar to normal logbook, this system will be able to store every car service details done to a CLS-class or an E-class vehicle. Moreover, the dealership concern will have to print out a hard copy of the details of the service and provide every time an owner’s copy. These hard copies containing important details will be kept in a folder provided by the dealership.
It is a different case, however, for those auto shops that do not necessarily carry the luxury German brand. These non-Mercedes-Benz establishments can still access the DSB via the Block Exemption Regulations but will only have certain details available. The full records of the customer cannot be viewed by these shops.
For the convenience of the Mercedes CLS or E-class owner, it is better to have the services done through a franchised shop to enjoy the benefits of the DSB e-log book.

Nothing can stop the Smart ForTwo, which is a relatively small two-seater car from the Mercedes-Benz group, as it invades the state of Dallas for four days.
To entice car owners and enthusiasts, Smart ForTwo has been going around states and countries for test drives. Moreover, visiting various places helps establish its name in the market. Included in the long list of top locations is Dallas, Texas. Curious residents canview and test drive the car tomorrow until Sunday at the Oak Lawn. The unique finds of the Mercedes-Benz Group are currently housed at the Park Place Motorcars, which is the future home of these Smart cars in Dallas.

The two-wheel-drive car, which has a ceiling speed of 90 miles per hour, has a decent one-liter engine that can generate up to 71 ponies. To better suit different drivers, it is available in both automatic and manual five-speed gear boxes. The American version is also a little bigger compared to its European counterpart.
Although the car is deprived of size, it does not mean that it is not safe to drive. Made of tough but lightweight plastic and steel materials, ForTwo can actually go away with a decent safety rating. Similar to a mobile phone, this car’s body kit can also be replaced easily. There are actually some owners who meet in functions and exchange body kits. In this case, customizing the car will not cost that much compared to the regular automobiles.
Smart ForTwo may look all that futuristic but almost a million of these have already traverse roads for the last 10 years in almost 40 countries.
“To date, we’ve had three million visits to the Smart Web site,” said Dave Schembri, who is the President of Smart USA. “Right now, we see this being a segment no one else is in.”

There are countless concept cars emerging every now and then in auto shows. These futuristic automobiles take on a variety of shape, size, and design, among others. Aside from their unique exterior features, people are likely going to look in on what the car can offer to them. Vehicles are made for the convenience of motorists and the German automaker Mercedes-Benz knows this. Mercedes-Benz F700 is the company’s latest find that can answer to both user and environment demands.

Although the Mercedes-Benz F700 is yet to be finalized, it thus look promising. Starting from the high-end Mercedes-Benz Parts installed in it. For starters, the vehicle is capable of adjusting to various road conditions because of its one of a kind headlights. These auto parts are equipped with laser sensors. With these sensors, the headlights function like eyes and survey the road surface. Once the needed data is gathered, the Benz F700’s control units make the necessary precautions for such road condition. The computer sends out messages, which translates to movements, to the the vehicle’s other parts. The wheels, which are the primary receivers of the information from the computers, perform the necessary action with the help of the water-powered pumps.
Another notable feature of the luxury company’s Mercedes-Benz F700 is the DiesOtto, which is responsible for making the vehicle ozone friendly. The special 1.8-liter engine is capable of of an advance production of power but with lesser noxious emissions, such as the Carbon dioxide and Nitrogen oxide. A catalytic converter further keeps the emission of the Benz F700 in a safer level. Despite the relatively low harmful exhaust, the engine prowess still translates to more power. The Benz F700, which has a ceiling speed of 210 kilometers per hour, can jump from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 7.5 seconds.

A Servo-HMI is also available in the Benz F700. In a small monitor, which is like a navigation screen, the driver can access his or her computer assistant. The user can upload his own inputs by only speaking to it. The intelligent computer saves and analyzes the audible data it gets. Directions to certain places, for example, can be stored in this intelligent navigation computer system of the Mercedes-Benz F700.
Clearly, this new concept car from Mercedes-Benz is more than just its good looks but it is more of the remarkable benefits it can provide to its user as well as the environment.

Mercedes-Benz has truly established its commitment in providing better products for its patrons. Just recently, the luxury company came out with high-performing yet environment-friendly car christened as the 2008 Mercedes-Benz E320 Bluetec. As a step to further entice motorists in using greener cars, like the Bluetec, the German automaker puts its new sedans for rent in California since yesterday.
The company did not give the official rate for these great find cars, but one could estimate monthly rental fee that ranges from $650 to $700, which is based in the lease fee of the Mercedes-Benz E350. Unlike the Benz 350, the latest green car offering of the company has a 3.2-liter engine that runs on diesel. With such precision-engineered auto part, this passenger car has lesser Nitrogen oxide and Carbon dioxide emissions compared to the Benz E350. In addition to its safer gas emission, the Benz E320 can burn more efficiently its fuel, which is around 20 to 40 percent, thus more horsepower is produced.

Since a full-time electric car cost a fortune, a motorist can go for renting the green Mercedes-Benz car. Such vehicle can answer the demands of certain states, like California, regarding the acceptable emission level of automobiles. Moreover, these German diesel sedans are the only vehicles at present that has met the allowable emission level being implemented in this western state.
“Mercedes-Benz has developed a diesel emission control system that results in a car as clean as comparable gasoline vehicles being sold here,” said Tom Cackette, who is the head of Air Resources Board of California.
Aside from the Bluetec technology in the E320, Mercedes-Benz’s is pushing for more improvements, which are geared in manufacturing greener cars, in their future vehicles. Specifically in the engine parts, the company plans to install the selective catalytic reduction or SCR to further keep the emission around the safe level.
